J'ai plante des Edelweiss dans mon jardin. Je ne savais meme pas que je pouvais avoir cette fleur a 1500 metres d'altitude. Je croyais que cette fleur n'aimait que les tres hautes altitudes.

Pour le moment c'est une plante heureuse qui me donne des dizaine de fleurs. J'ai du trouve le parfait endroit pour la planter!

I planted Edelweiss this year. I actually didn't know I could have this flower at 5000 feet altitude. I thought it was a very high altitude flower.
I must have planted it at the right spot. The plant is flourishing with flowers. It is so beautiful.

J'ai un petit quelque chose a vous montrer....un modele ABC de Tralala,tout mimi.
J'ai brode avec un fils Threadworx multicolor et je l'ai fini en pinkeep.
Alors pourquoi toutes ces broderies....The Thread Basket va etre exposant vendeur a un show de quilt en Septembre et il me faut de quoi mettre sur les murs de mon stand. Alors je brode dar-dar.

Hello everybody!

A little something to show you on this rainy Monday morning. I am not going to complain the rain, it is so dry here we need the moisture. It is going to last 2 days and back to dry and sunny weather.
Meanwhile, my little something is a design from Tralala, a small ABC I stitched with a Threadworx thread and finished as a pinkeep.
Why do I stitch so much recently...the reason is that The Thread Basket is going to be a vendor at a quilt show in September and I need to display cross stitch in my booth. If you are living in Colorado or vising the State, make sure to stop by Quilt a Fair at the Boulder fairground in Longmont, September 21st and 22nd and come to say hello.

J'espere qu'il fait aussi beau chez vous que chez moi...si ce n'est pas le cas je vous envoie des brassees de soleil.
Allez, je continue a partager avec vous mes realisations avec aujourd'hui ma version de "Trousse au fleurs bleues" de C Mon Monde.Tres sympa a broder! Au lieu de l'encadrer j'ai decide de le monter sur un support en tissu tout simplement afin d'apporter un peu de contraste.

Let's keep going with my show and tell with today a design from C Mon Monde. It is "Trousse au fleurs bleues" that I finished simply on a fabric covered board. I chose this bleu and white fabric to bring some contrast with the stitching and its colors. Chart available at www.thethreadbasket.com

C'est lundi, il fait beau....on continue dans le rose et vert avec le Petit Sac Centauree d'Atalie. (grille et fils en vente chez The Thread Basket)

J'ai brode avec des DMC pour le petit ABC, les roses en points d'araignee et les bordures ecrues. J'ai pris le fils "Hydrangea" de Nina's threads pour les grandes lettres et toutes les frises en points speciaux. Pour la finitions j'ai utilise un tissu vert tendre et des rubans de soir pour la coulisse. J'ai ADORE!

It's Monday, the sun shines....more show and tell :) Today more green and pink with Petit Sac Centauree from Atalie. (pattern and threads for sale at The Thread Basket)
I stitched with DMC threads the small ABC, the spider's stitch roses and the off white designs. For the large letters and all the special stitches are stitched with "Hydrangea" from Nina's threads.
To finish the bag I chose a soft green for the inside and silk ribbon for the cord.
I had a blast with this project. Of course you can customize this project with the colors of your choice.

C'est l'heure de vous montrer ce que j'ai brode ces derniers temps. Pas tout en meme temps...on commence par un et je reviendrais.

Je brode mais je ne montres rien encore, j'attends de faire les finitions. En attendant, un echantillonage des couleurs que j'ai brode ou que je brode en ce moment....

Apres plusieurs essais pour faire des Madeleines, j'ai enfin trouve une recette que j'aime. Parfumees a la fleur d'oranger, elles ont fait le bonheur de toute la famille. En plus, a la cuisson la petite bosse est apparue, youpi! La recette vient de chez Le Petrin. A vous d'essayer!

Madeleines are French small cakes with a peculiarity: it has a bump! In France, you buy them and are a traditional afternoons snack for children or are eaten with tea... I love Madeleines and since I can't find them here in the US, I decided to bake my own. I have to admit I tried several recipes but I was not very satisfied. The cake was cook but not light enough or I didn't get the bump when baking. Well, I finally find THE recipe. It is on a blog I like very much Le Petrin. It is translated in case you wish to try and learn about the story of the Madeleine. A Madeleine pan is needed to make these small cakes. Thumbs up for these delicious Madeleines.

Je joue les elegantes!

Regardez ce que Coco m'a envoye il y a quelques temps. Le courrier a prit tellement de temps que pour un peu ils seraient arrives en ete. Coco sait qu'au Colorado il fait froid mais elle me veux elegante egalement. Ils sont sensationnel ces gants decores. De belles fleurs sur les poignets et une grosse bague sur un doigt. C'est genial! Merci Coco.

Look what Coco sent me. They took so long to arrive that I almost would have had the chance to wear them. Coco knows it is cold in Colorado so she is taking care of me. These gloves are fantastic. They are decorated with flowers on the wrists and with a big ring on one fingers. The effect is amazing. Thank you Coco!
