Est ce que vous brodez au printemps? moi oui...entre mes maintes heures passees a jardiner!
Je brode mais je ne montres rien encore, j'attends de faire les finitions. En attendant, un echantillonage des couleurs que j'ai brode ou que je brode en ce moment....

I stitch but I am not going to show you anything yet....once I decided how to finish everything I will show you what I did. I stitched so many different colors....

Apres plusieurs essais pour faire des Madeleines, j'ai enfin trouve une recette que j'aime. Parfumees a la fleur d'oranger, elles ont fait le bonheur de toute la famille. En plus, a la cuisson la petite bosse est apparue, youpi! La recette vient de chez Le Petrin. A vous d'essayer!

Madeleines are French small cakes with a peculiarity: it has a bump! In France, you buy them and are a traditional afternoons snack for children or are eaten with tea... I love Madeleines and since I can't find them here in the US, I decided to bake my own. I have to admit I tried several recipes but I was not very satisfied. The cake was cook but not light enough or I didn't get the bump when baking. Well, I finally find THE recipe. It is on a blog I like very much Le Petrin. It is translated in case you wish to try and learn about the story of the Madeleine. A Madeleine pan is needed to make these small cakes. Thumbs up for these delicious Madeleines.

Je joue les elegantes!

Regardez ce que Coco m'a envoye il y a quelques temps. Le courrier a prit tellement de temps que pour un peu ils seraient arrives en ete. Coco sait qu'au Colorado il fait froid mais elle me veux elegante egalement. Ils sont sensationnel ces gants decores. De belles fleurs sur les poignets et une grosse bague sur un doigt. C'est genial! Merci Coco.

Look what Coco sent me. They took so long to arrive that I almost would have had the chance to wear them. Coco knows it is cold in Colorado so she is taking care of me. These gloves are fantastic. They are decorated with flowers on the wrists and with a big ring on one fingers. The effect is amazing. Thank you Coco!

Granny time! Premier projet en crochet termine. J'ai commence a crocheter l'ete dernier et voici le resultat de mon premier plaid en granny. J'ai bien aime, le seul hic, c'est le montage....beurk! Mais j'aime le resultat. Si bien que j'ai commence un autre plaid....j'y ai prit gout!
Granny time! I just finished my first plaid. I started crochet last summer and this is my first finished project, a granny plaid. I like crochet, the only bad part putting everything together! I love the result thus. So I started a new plaid... just started, don't know when it will be done!

Des coeurs brodes la semaine derniere. Modele gratuit de Un papillon sur l'epaule.
Que des points speciaux pour ceux la. Le rose et gris sont brodes avec des DMC, le bleu et mauve est brode avec une soie Vicky Clayton.
Et puis l'autre grille gratuite brodee avec une soie Dinky Dyes. la grille se nomme Love Bird mais je ne connais pas la creatrice.

It is heart season...I stitched a couple of hearts last week, only special stitches. The chart is a free found on Un papillon sur l'epaule.
The pink heart is stitched with grey and pink DMC threads and the blue and mauve is stitched with Vicky Clayton's silk.
The other chart called Love bird is a free also but don't know where I found it and who is the designer. I stitched this one with a Dinky Dyes silk.
Some finishing to do now...

Il est enfin fini ce coeur. Le plus long fut de mettre les perles, cela n'en finissait pas. Mais la broderie, que des points speciaux....un regal!

Un petit coeur pour preparer la St Valentin....monter en coussinet avec un ruban ancien, des perles et des noeuds pour du romantisme et de la douceur.

Valentine's Day is approaching....I stitched this heart and finished it as a small cushion with ribbons, beads and old lace to embellish it to make it sweet and romantic.

Mon cactus de Noel n'a pas fleuri a Noel....mais fleurira-t-il pour la St Valentin?
Il est plein de boutons qui sont pret a eclore. Et comme il y a 3 cactus dans un pot...pour le moment 2 differentes couleurs de boutons.

My Christmas cactus didn't flower at Christmas time but it looks like it is going to have flowers for Valentine's day.
3 different plants in one pot and so far 2 different colors buds.

Un dernier post au sujet de Noel... un echange avec les copines du FEF avec seul obligation de broder une grille de Gazette. J'ai recu un joli porte aiguille de la part de Ladieboop et j'ai envoye un coussinet ornement Safran.

A last post about Christmas...an exchange with my FEF's friends in France. The only requirement, stitch something from Gazette's free charts. I received a lovely needle case from Ladieboop and I send an ornament to Safran.
