C'est octobre, c'est la saison des citrouilles. J'en ai des vraies dans mon jardin et puis j'en ai fait ce weekend. Voila ma version du patron achete au salon du quilt et dont je vous avait parle.

Je me suis amusee comme une folle sur ce projet tres sympathique.
La maison se pare tout doucement de ces couleurs automnales!


It is October! Its pumpkin time! I have real ones in my garden and I made some over the week end. This is what I made with one of the pattern bought at the quilt show I talked about last time. It was a lot of fun to make.
Fall is slowly falling upon the house and my blog...

Par hazard, le week end dernier j'ai decouvert a un salon de quilt sur le chemin de la piscine! J'avais le temps, je me suis arretee. Qu'est ce que j'ai bien fait! J'en ai prit plein les mirettes! Je ne quilt pas, mais j'apprecie ce travail d'aiguilles et je me suis toujours dit qu'un jour je m'y mettrais! Le jour ou j'aurrais le temps! Bref, pas de photos a vous montrer, je n'etais pas preparee, mais croyez moi, ces quilts etaient plus beau les uns que les autres. Beaucoup de quilts dans les tons marron et rose, il doit y avoir une mode aussi dans le quilt.
Tres modestement, j'ai achete quelque patrons de quilt applique, tres simple, petit, facile a faire. Mais j'ai lorgne sur les grand vrais quilts!
Les exposants etaient principalement du Colorado, Texas et etats voisins.
Mes preferes, Bonnie Blue Quilts and Two Sisters Quilting et puis celui ci, Pumpkin berries Stitchery la ou j'ai achete 3 de mes patrons.

Last week I stopped at a quilt show. I drove by driving to swim practice. On the way back I decided to stop. I am so happy I did. I do not quilt but love looking at quilts and appreciate the beauty of them. I always say I will quilt one day...the day I will have time.
No pictures to show as it was a surprise stop but believe me these quilts were magnificent. Many quilts in pink and brown tones. It must be colors of the moment...
I finally bought some patterns...small ones, applique quilt....to start.
The vendors were mainly from CO, TX and states near by.
My favorite stops, Bonnie Blue Quilts and Two Sisters Quilting . Also Pumpkin berries Stitchery where I bought 3 of my patterns.
better get to work if I want my pumpkins quilt done for October.

Prenez vos bottes de marche...En route pour Maroon Bells Lake tout pres de Aspen, la celebre station de ski.

Il a fallut prendre interstate 70, impressionnante route superposee! Maroon Bells est la montagne la plus photographiee aux USA...quand vous verrez la photo vous comprendrez pourquoi...c'est incroyablement beau! Une belle marche ou nous avons vu une foret d'Aspen (les arbres cette fois), des cascades, des belles fleurs, des signes de passage d'ours, des oiseaux multicolors... nous en avons prit plein les yeux.
Bon voyage !Today is hiking day...let's go to Maron Bells Lake, near Aspen.
First, I 70, amazing road one way on top of the other. Maroon Bells mountains is the most photographed mountains in the USA...it's understandable...it's magnificent!
While hiking, we went through an Aspen forest, saw signs cautioning us about bear activities, cascading waters, mountain flora, colorful birds...what a gorgeous day!

Je vous avait parle du defi Ete 2011 de Jura Point de Croix il y a plusieurs semaines mais je ne pouvait rien montrer jusqu'a maintenant. Vous pouvez desormais aller visiter leur site.... Toutes les photos des participantes sont en ligne il y a des merveilles! Tres genereusement, Jura Point de Croix offre a partir de maintenant les grilles du defi. sur leur site.

Ci dessous, ce que j'ai realise pour le defi, une boite et son pique aiguilles! il y a un defi Noel egalement...et je pense serieusement a en faire partie...j'ai adore ma premiere experience du defi!

Few weeks back I mentioned a challenge organized by Jura Point de Croix. The participants needed to stitch and finish one or several charts given to them by Jura Point de Croix. The stitchers picked the colors and fabric of their choice, the finishing ... The challenge is now closed and you can visit their site to look at all the pretty things stitchers made. Some of them are amazing! Go have a look. Very generously, Jura Point de Croix offers now all the Challenge's charts so you can also stitch these charts. The pic below is what I made for the challenge, a box and its matching pin cushion.
Jura Point de Croix organize also a Christmas challenge....I think I'll sign up for it...this one so too much fun!

En attendant de vous monter plus d'ouvrages...je vous patientez avec mon jardin Je vous avais montrer mes artichauts qui etaient pret a fleurir et mes citrouilles qui allaient se parer de leur couleur orange....ca y est! Les artichauts sont pares de leurs belles fleurs violettes et les citrouilles sont pretes pour halloween! J'ai aussi mon bougainvillier qui est de fleurs vetu. Je le rentrerais quand le temps sera venu et je vais essayer de le faire survivre l'hiver pour qu' il refleurisse au printemps! Vous avez devinez j'adore jardiner!

I can't show many of the things I am working on or finished so I decided to talk about my garden. Remember I showed you pictures of my artichokes few weeks back. I love eating artichokes but since I discovered their flowers I grow them for their flowers. They have finally flowered and they never have been no beautiful, thanks to Colorado's sun! My bougainvillaea is doing just fine too, never had so many flowers! I will try to make it survive winter inside so I can have more flowers next spring. Finally, I am ready for Halloween so are my pumpkins! 2 more have just starting turning orange...wow what a year! You guessed it right...I LOVE gardening!

Le monde arrete de touner sans Internet! 10 jours sans connection et c'est la fin du monde! J'en ai profite pour brode un peu, finir des projets et progresser au crochet. J'ai appris a crocheter il y a une mois. Je ne peux pas monter grand chose car je prepare un envoi surprise pour un echange calendrier de l'avent.
Me revoila, donc pour vous annoncer que j'ai gagne le Challenge de Gift of Stitching avec mon metre ruban. Merci pour les visites, commentaires et votes. Il fallait broder un metre ruban suivant les grilles donnees, une ou plusieurs. J'ai rajoute des perles, une rose en point de bullion, des charms.
Je peux desormais vous le montrer.

No Internet for 10 days and it's the end of the world! While I couldn't use my pc, I stitched a little, finished some projects and worked on my crochet skills. I learned how to crochet 1 month ago! I can't show my work yet as I prepare a Advent calendar exchange.
Today I am here to announce my measure tape for The Gift of Stitching has won. Thank you all for your visits, votes and nice comments. I can now show it.
The challenge was to use the charts that was given to us, using one or several. I added some beads, a rose in bullion stitch, ribbons and charms.

Apres un mois et demi de voyage, le paquet que Isa avait poste pour mon anniversaire, est enfin arrive!!! Nous n'y croyons plus toutes les deux, mais tout arrive!

Un gros bisou a Isa, qui fete son anniversaire le meme jour que moi....en juin! Merci ma belle pour toutes ces merveilles, elle brode et coud merveilleusement bien! Regardez!

I have been waiting for a package since the end of June. It finally arrived a couple of days ago after a month and half of travel! I was still hoping to receive it and when I saw it at my door I was so relieved. Isa sent this package for my birthday...in June! It has arrived and I want to share the pictures with you. Isa is a talented sewer and cross stitcher... I am so happy!

La colle est seche, super seche....je peux vous montrer ma boite The Sweatheart Tree!
J'ai utilise un tissu tres glissant qui m'a fait @$*%(%*&#, mais la couleur etait parfaite, c'etait celui la qu'il fallait!
L'ete se termine, l'ecole reprend dans 2 jours, je profite de ces quelques dernieres heures ou je n'ai pas a courrir de partout pour travailler sur d'autres choses mais ce sont des chuts...alors il faut patienter! L'ete fut superbe, la tete est pleine de souvenirs et de belles choses que nous avons decouvert.

You had to wait until the glue was dry. It is very dry now and I can share my The Sweetheart Tree box. the stitching was done and I was waiting for inspiration. The stitching became the top of a box. The dark purple fabric was very slippery and I had a hard time to manage it. the color was the one I had to deal with it.
The summer is ending, back to school is in 2 days. Before crazy life is back I work on few little things I can't show you as they are surprises.
The summer was beautiful , we have plenty of wonderful memories and discovered magnificent places.

Il y a des moments ou je brode, il y a des moments ou je fais les finitions....je suis dans cette derniere periode. Voila le resultat pour le Carre Coeur de Tralala. Le cadre n'a rien d'extraordinaire mais il est carre et rien que pour cela je suis toute contente de ma trouvaille! Un cadre, une broderie et un ruban...le tour est jouer. J'ai autre chose a vous montrer mais la colle seche, patience!

Sometime I stitch, sometime I take care of the finishing. Right now I'm in a frenzy finishing time. It's just like I have all these ideas in my head and I have to do something about it. While glue is drying on an other projet, this is my Tralala's Carre Coeur I framed. I was excited to find a square frame, yes it is difficult to find. I framed my square stitching and added a small ribbon all around finishing it on a bow in one of the corners. Will come back for next project when it will be dry!
