Mon SAL 2012 The Thread Basket / Tournicoton est fini et monte comme un petit traversin. J'ai peut etre fronce un peu trop pret du gros bonhomme de neige sur un cote, il est est un peu prisonnier des plis le monsieur, mais je suis contente du resutat. De chaque cote j'ai mis un flocon de neige en papier et un bouton que j'ai recouvert de tissu vert pour la finition.

Voila le SAL nest plus qu'un bon souvenir pour moi. N'hesitez pas a m'envoyer vos photos, Anne sera contente de voir ce que vous avez realiser. Je vous rappelle que la grille est disponible sur The Thread Basket et ce jusqu'a mi-janvier.

 My SAL 2012 The Thread Basket / Tournicoton is done. I finished the stitching and finished it as a small bolster pillow or needle roll. I might have gather to close to the big snowman, he is stuck in the fold of the fabric. Oh well, I am still happy of the result. On both ends I fixed a paper snowflakes and a fabric covered button.

SAL 2012 is ready for Christmas. When you will have your pictures ready please send them to me I would love Anne to see what you did with her chart.

The SAL's chart is available until mid January on The Thread Basket's site.

I can't believe this is already the last part of the SAL 2012 The Thread Basket / Tournicoton. The 4th part is on line. This is not too late to start stitching. I will be waiting for pictures of your finished SAL to put them in an album. It would be great to share the pictures.

My SAL up to part 3

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Tangle est fini et monte sur un bloc de styrofoam epais d'un peu plus de 3 cm. Un ruban gros grain noir tout autour. Une fois fini le noeud me fait penser aux coiffes Alsaciennes. Toile 32 ct mulberry et fils DMC noir, et reste de fils pour les roses et vert (NN, WDW, GA)

 

I finished Tangle I showed you a couple of days ago.  I used a block of Styrofoam almost 1.5 in thick and a gros grain ribbon the same width . 32 ct fabric color Mulberry and DMC thread black and leftover threads for pink and green ones (NN, WDW, GA)

Cependant, je n'ai plus de noir....Tangle c'est le nouveau style de creation de Jardin Prive...qui va bientot arrive dans vos boutiques. La grille est la si vous voulez vous essayer au style Tangle.  J'ai fait un peu les choses a l'envers, j'ai brode pour Noel d'abord puis pour Halloween, enfin l'automne. Mais j'ai tout fini a temps surtout pour la citrouille ;) 2 modeles pris dans Just cross stitch magazine de l'annee derniere, le special Halloween ( un modele Knotted Tree NeedleArt) et Noel (un modele Little House Needleworks). J'ai fait une cordeliere avec le meme fil que j'ai utilise pour la citrouile pour la finition pour le modele d'automne. De la feutrine, du tissu,, une ficelle pour le modele de Noel, tout simplement.

I first stitched for Christmas then for fall, I finished everything on time, especially for the pumpkin ;) I stitched 2 designs from the Just cross stitch magazine of last year. From the Halloween issue I stitch a Knotted Tree needleArt's design and from the Christmas ornament a Little House Needleworks's design. I made a cord with the same thread I stitched the pumpkin to put all around of the pinkeep. For the Christmas one, layers of fleece, fabric and a rustic cord, simply.

 Ma premiere partie du SAL Tournicoton / The Thread Basket est finie. J'ai utilise le meme vert pour tous les sapins et j'attends la reste du texte pour le broder car j'utilise un fil teint. J'ai egalement broder les etoies avec un fils argent pour donner un air de fete :)

Je suis prete pour la partie deux...lundi. En attendant je vous envoi un peu de ma neige..oui ce matin reveille sous quelques cm de neige...c'est beau.

  

SAL The Thread Basket / Tournicoton, my first part is done.  I used the same green for all the trees and I am waiting for the entire text to stitch it. I used a hand dyed variegated thread so to have a nice effect, I will wait. I used a silver thread to stitch the stars...just to give it Holiday flair.

I am ready for part 2, it's Monday.

It snowed last night, few inches only but it is so pretty.

Le coeur bleu est une grille de La Sylphide Toquee, "Coeur Givre" brode avec un fils bleu ciel et un encadrement ruban et croquet.

 I have more work to show you. Things I have done for The Thread Basket's show last month.

First "ABC Moutons" by Laureline Broderie". To match the pink and the softness of the design I picked a pink roses ribbon and a piece of old lace for the finishing.
The blue heart is a design called "Coeur Givre" by La Sylphide Toquee, stitched with a light blue thread. The finishing is is done with a blue ribbon and a white rickrack ribbon....love rickrack, it always looks good.

Voici la grille du SAL de cette annee, elle a ete cree et offerte par Anne de TOURNICOTON. Merci Anne pour ta gentillesse et generosite.

Afin de vous preparer...voici la liste de fourniture et fils. Bien sur ceci n'est qu'a titre d'indication, vous pouvez utiliser ce que vous voulez.

This year Anne, TOURNICOTON's designer created the SAL's chart. Thank you Anne for your kindness and generosity.

I am giving you the list of furniture so you can get ready. Of course the final choice is yours and you are free to use the threads and fabric of your choice.

What about starting on Monday morning. (Colorado time). The first part of the chart will be available on The Thread Basket's site in the section free chart on the bottom left of the page.  A new part (4 in total) will be available every 2 weeks. The chart will not be available anymore after January 2013.

You can send me your pictures anytime. I'll put then in an album so we can see the different finishing and colors choices.

Tout d'abord un regal a broder "Petite Rosa" de Tournicoton. Point de croix, points speciaux, des perles, un regal a faire. 

Puis une broderie que j'ai monte a mon gout, une broderie de C Mon Monde "Trousse aux Roses"

A couple of stitching done for the show The Thread Basket was attending few weeks back.

First, "Petite Rosa" by Tournicoton. Cross stitch, special stitches, beads...if these are things you like to do, this design is for you. A delight to stitch.

The second one is from C Mon Monde, a design called "Trousse aux Roses". I decided to finish it a little bit differently. Fun, fun, fun...

J'ai delaisse ce blog pendant l'ete...mais je suis de retour. L'ete fut bien rempli. Les enfants sont de retour a l'ecole depuis un mois et demi, le show de The Thread Basket s'est tres bien deroule.

je souffle un peu avant de reprendre l'aiguille.

J'ai brode pour pouvoir decorer mon stand, je vous montrerais petit a petit. 

Pour le moment, je vous souhaite un bel automne.

I haven't been taking good care of this blog recently. The summer was too busy to do so. The kids have been back to school for a while now, the show The Thread Basket was a vendor was a success, now I relax before stitching again.

I stitched a lot in order to decorate TTB's booth last week. I will show you little by little.

As for now, I wish you a beautiful fall season.
