Il fait beau et chaud, le jardin pousse. La preuve en image....ceuillette de ce matin. Je surveille mes artichauds egalement, je ne les mangerais pas, j'attend simplement la belle fleur violette que je vous montrerais. Et puis je serais prete pour Halloween....mes citrouilles encore vertes poussent a vue d'oeil!

My garden loves the beautiful and hot weather we have. I just wanted to show you what I picked up this morning...zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes... I keep an eye on my artichokes as I don't want to miss the beautiful purple flower. I love eating artichokes but I will not eat those, I just grew them for the flowers! I'll make sure to share it with you. Halloween will be upon us soon enough...my still green pumpkins are growing very fast.

Cheyenne, Wyoming est a une heure 30 de chez moi. Petit voyage chez les cowboys, les vrais a l'occasion du tres repute rodeo de Cheyenne. Plusieurs competitions, chevaux avec selles, chevaux sans selles, taureaux....et une course de chevaux sauvages. Il faut les monter et faire de 1 ou 2 tours de piste. Sur 10 equipes, seulement 2 ont reussies!
Une super journee ou l'on decouvre le vrai travail des ranchers et cowboys. Un veritable style de vie.

Howdy! Cheyenne, Wyoming is about 1 hour and half from where I live. Cheyenne is well known for its Frontier Day Rodeo. Several races, horse, bull, wild horses.... 10 teams for the wild horses race, only 2 were able to get a horse, mount it and race 1 or 2 loops!
A great day and way to discover what ranchers and cowboys do.

Avec les copines de le fil en fete nous avons organise un echange sachet senteur. Un echange pour le plaisir, pour feter l'ete, pour la bonne odeur de la lavande.
J'envoyais un sachet a Marielle, (il sentait la menthe a defaut d'avoir trouve de la lavande) Ladieboop m'en envoyait un. Regardez simplement, c'est beau et ca sent divinement bon. Merci Ladieboop.

I received my surprised from Ladieboop , I sent mine to Marielle (couldn't find lavender so I used mint). Just look, it's just adorable and it's smell divine! Thank you Ladieboop.

Avez vous entendu parlez du defi Ete 2011 de Jura Point de Croix?

C'est simple, il suffit de broder une ou les grilles que Jura Point de Croix donne aux participantes. A elles de choisir les couleurs des fils, la toile, la finition...en un mot s'amusez!
N'ayant pas eu le courage de renoncer, oui je suis faible en ce concerne la broderie, je me suis donc inscrite.
La condition et de ne rien montrer anvant le 15 septembre date ou tous les ouvrages seront montres. Tout ce que je peux vous montrer...les couleurs! Au boulot Brodeuse!

Have you heard about the Jura Point de Croix Summer 2011 Challenge?
It is simple, the participant need to stitch and finish one or several charts given to them by Jura Point de Croix. The stitchers pick the colors and fabric of their choice, hoe they want to finish it and if they want to ad embellishment. A great way to have fun and get that creativity going!
Of course I was not able to ignore this challenge and I signed up.
There is one condition, I can't show anything until September 15th. This is the day the stitched pieces will be shown on the Jura Point Croix website. All I can show you right now is the colors I picked for one chart! Brodeuse it is stitching time!

J'ai brode quand meme un petit peu.....j'ai fini un The Sweetheart Tree "Lavender Luminescente" que j'avais commence il y a un moment. J'ai enfin fini de coudre les perles!
Mon deuxieme ouvrage, fini cette semaine, Carre Coeur de Tralala. Ces deux ouvrages seront a monter....a suivre!

I stitched a little efore and after our trip to Santa Fe. I finally finished something I started a year ago. I'm done sewing the beads! I'm talking about "Lavender luminescente" from The Sweetheart Tree". This week I finished Carre Coeur from Tralala. Tralala charts are for sale at www.thethreadbasket.com
I now have to figure out how to finidh this 2 beauties....to be followed!

Petit voyage au Nouveau Mexique...architecture tres differente de ce que nous avons l'habitude, une nourriture mexicaine a tomber, le Rio Grande et Taos Pueblo (village Indien age de plus de 1000 ans et encore habite). Un bon week end dans cette region que nous ne connaissions pas.

For the 4th of July, we decided to spend the long week end in Santa Fe, NM. We loved it! A very different architecture of what we are used to, delicious Mexican food (the best I ever had), a visit to Taos Pueblo a 1000 year old Indian village still inhabited, and the Rio Grande!

Un petit cadeau emporte en France avec moi et destine a Corinne cette fois ci pour celebrer son anniversaire. En plus des petites choses non faites main, j'ai fait un tapis de souris (la chose rose) et une petite pochette rose et noire que j'ai remplie de douceurs bien americaine :)

A small birthday gift I made for Corinne when I met her in Paris. In addition of the non hand made present I made a mouse pad (the flat pink thing in the picture) and a black and pink pouch I filled with American candies....Corinne has a sweet tooth :)
These 2 projects are free tutorals I found on the web a long time ago but can't find the links anymore....I will try to find them again and post them so you can have fun too making them!
